When we moved to our house, the trees had not been cared for and had bug pods all over them and they did not look healthy. The previous owners also topped (cut) all of the trees rather than have them treated. We were referred to Lawn Doctor for assistance and I am so glad we were - Lawn Doctor knew exactly what the pests were and had a plan to treat them and the other bugs that had invaded our trees. After just short of a year of service, our trees look amazing and healthy! We are continuing our service with them into the next year (6 treatments total) because they understand the local bugs, their cycles, the impact to our trees (3 different kinds on our property), and what to do about them so the trees can thrive. Lawn doctor came to my home and gave me a complete evaluation of my lawns needs. I didn't realize that small adjustments to my yard habits (how tall to mow, how much water, when to water, when to aerate, etc) could make such a nice difference. After the first treatment I was so pleased at the lawns health that I will continue to use this service. It's been 2 years now and we love our grass. They call to remind me when they are coming, and they are always on time. Having a dog that uses the yard for playtime and energy release, my yard can get used alot. You would never know it by how healthy, green, and lush it remains year after year. If I am home when lawn doctor comes, the technicians are so friendly and spend a moment discussing just how things are looking with the yard. I thought I could handle my lawn myself, but since they came along my yard has never looked better! ~ Matthew K

Great lawn service. Lawn Doctor helped us revive our lawn. We were wasting water, and our efforts to fertilize, aerate, etc. on our own had not worked. We had xeriscaped one large area of grass but wanted to keep some lawn area surrounding our patio area. Not only do their treatments work well, but they have taught us how to take care of watering, spotting any concerns, etc. They always let you know when they're coming, arrive on time, and let you know when to water afterward. I recommend all their lawn services. Our lawn looks great. Several neighbors use them, too, because they saw how much our lawn improved after using Lawn Doctor. ~ Susan D

We don't have time to keep our large lawn green or figure out what products to put on it and in what season. The lawn was very yellow in spots. The Lawn Doctor assessor said that we didn't need to replace our grass and within a year of Lawn Doctor treatments we would see a green lawn. After a year our lawn was green. They aerate yearly and apply products. We have kept their services because they are minimally intrusive, don't take a lot of time in our yard and quickly go about their business. They give helpful tips like "sharpen your lawn mower blade" and "adjust your watering schedule". They have been very helpful. ~ Tamara G

Very professional team that is always on time and clearly works hard to provide exceptional lawn service. They go the extra mile to make sure I’m happy with the work. Also, they always respect our property and clean up after each application. One very positive thing is all of the team members are local. When I call the Lawn Doctor it’s to a local office here in Albuqueque that takes my call. Always friendly and quick to address my questions. Not so with their national competitor I previously used that has no local office and if I called and got through, the person who answers the phone can almost not speak English. ~ Jim S

I have used Lawn Doctor of Albuquerque for several years, for weed control at both my property and my sister's next door. The Lawn Doctor technicians listen when I explain exactly what needs spraying and where, at both places, and they are happy to answer any questions I have. It has been such an amazing turnaround at both properties, to have professional pre-emergent weed control. Where I used to spend many hours pulling and digging weeds at both places, from spring to nearly autumn, I now have time for other projects. I am extremely pleased with Lawn Doctor. ~ Ellanie S

Lawn Doctor is highly professional and provide great service. I use them to pretreat my yard for weeds in the spring. They also spray the side yard. I live along Indian School and the city holds me responsible for weeds that sprout up between my property line and the street. With Lawn Doctor's pre treatment in the spring, I never have to worry about weeds popping up later in the summer. While my neighbors are pulling their weeds in response to a notice from the city, my side yard is blissfully free. The freedom from pulling weeds is well worth the price. ~ Barb L

We switched from "the other guys" who are a popular lawn care outfit locally. Pretty much all the same services we were getting, but at a better price. Lawn Dr always calls, usually a day ahead of their visit, and they have never not shown up within about a half hour (tops) of when they said they would be there. A great side benefit, that prevents us from having to sit around waiting for someone to show up. (Though in all fairness, mostly they have access to our yard and we really don't need to wait around.) Courteous and prompt response to the one time I had to call and ask for an additional visit. Highly recommended. Update: Nov, 2021 Have been using Lawn Doctor for a few years now, and they continue to provide great service in a timely fashion. We are still called ahead of their visits, and they always arrive around the same time on the day and date provided. And the crew that shows up are always happy to answer any questions we have, and address our concerns (which are few). Overall a great company to work with. ~ Jim A

As I became in need of help with my lawn maintenance, I chose Lawn Doctor. They know what they are doing! The lawn has never looked better. Appointments are timed appropriately by seasonal need. I am notified of my appointment time both by phone and by email. Any questions I have are responded to quickly. This year Lawn Doctor also controlled the mosquito outbreak in my yard. I have been using Lawn Doctor for about 15 years, since the other big-name own care company failed me. Chuck and his Lawn Doctor team are reliable and have given me "the nicest yard in the neighborhood" according to repeated comments I hear from neighbors. Nice. We use Lawn Doctor for everything related to lawn fertilization, weed control and aeration! They are always on time and punctual. They communicate well and are extremely efficient with their service. Most of all they are affordable. One other thing about having them do your lawn fertilization, there is no need to buy the stuff and store it yourself, which is a huge plus, especially if you have pets and small children! They always do a great job at keeping our lawn healthy and happy. We’ve been using them for going on 7 years now. They also come out every spring to spray our front and backyard with weed prevention and we never have to pull a single weed all spring/summer/fall! They’re customer service is always excellent (we had one scheduling snafu, but they responded and resolved it timely and professionally). I have used Lawn Doctor for several years now. They come on a scheduled basis to spray and fertilize my bushes, shrubs, grass and trees. I was trying to keep up with spraying myself but I have a large yard. Ever since I have used Lawn Doctor I no longer have issues with things like web worms or fungus. If I notice a problem and call them Chuck usually has a solution to the problem and they take care of it promptly. The team of men are top notch and extremely friendly. We have a large lawn in the North Valley and have had problems historically with weeds, grubs, and pests in the lawn and surrounding bushes. Lawn Doctor comes regularly to fertilize, mitigate weeds and prevent grubs and other pests in the lawn and bushes. Since they have been coming, our lawn looks much better and we have a lot less weeds and grubs. Our Albuquerque Lawn Doctor has saved my Placitas garden for 9 years. When we moved here the house had been empty for 1.5 years. Four Pinyon Pines were dead. I removed them & called the Lawn Doctor. The remaining trees and plants have thrived with the care of Law Doctors crew. One the required treatments are used. I'm an avid birder. Lawn Doctor is fully responsible for my gorgeous backyard lawn. They are reliable and very helpful and even though I don’t pay them to diagnose other problems, they always tell me if they believe any of my trees or shrubs have diseases or under/over-watering problems. They are friendly and easy to work with, should I not be able to be home at the time of their appointment. I love the Lawn Doctor of Albuquerque and have used them for 11+ years! ~ Douglas H

By the end of last summer, my lawn was overtaken by spurge weeds! In November, the Lawn Doctor saved my lawn with some kind of spray and this spring the lawn has come back the best it’s ever been in the last 35 years. At the end of March, I had them aerate & fertilize my lawn which will soon get me back to just watering & mowing. I was convinced that my lawn was gone, but the doctor’s crews definitely saved me from replacing it with an expensive synthetic putting green. I deliberately waited to provide this review because in February I also had them apply a pre-emergent weed spray on my front yard which is 100% landscaped with various types of gravel. And now I can report a second miracle, because I still don’t see a single green weed! My back feels so great that this year, and from now on, there will be no more back-breaking weeding sessions. What was I thinking all these years? If you don’t call the Lawn Doctor, you only have yourself to blame for unnecessary work. My lawn looks 100% better since I started with Lawn Doctor! They've taken the guesswork out of maintaining my lawn. Whenever I see an issue, I send a photo of the lawn to Chuck and he calls back quickly to suggest changes (e.g., to the amount of watering) to fix the issue. Diane always calls to let me know when the treatments will be done, and the guys always call with a time of arrival, arrive on time, and are friendly. Our lawn didn't look very good before Lawn Doctor started coming out. We've been using them for about 5 years now and we're very happy with the results we've seen. The lawn is very green and healthy. So much so that we've received compliments from family and neighbors about how great it looks. And their recommendations about watering and cutting height are spot on. I have been using Lawn Doctor of ABQ for at least the last 5 years for weed control, they come out once in the spring and spray my entire yard. That's it, no weeds all year long. This is a great service for me because I have a busy schedule and the last thing I want to do when I have any free time is pull weeds, I did that enough when I was young having grown up in Rio Rancho. Excellent, reliable service, all the way to removing or covering the bird feeders before spraying. The technicians know the answers to my questions or know who to ask, and someone always gets back to me.
